The difference between Aluminum Panel and Aluminum Composite Panel is not only about one simple word.

This problem could be explained in 4 parts:

1. Difference in basic materials: 

Aluminum panel ( AP ) is pure metal, made from primary aluminium. Aluminum composite panel ( ACP ) composed of multiple layers, which includes not only metal (mainly primary aluminum) , but also polyethylene plastic, paints (mostly Fluorocarbon paint) and more if needed.

2. Difference in structure:

As talked above that the materials of them are different, Aluminum panel is only the sheet of aluminium products; while Aluminum Composite Panel is composed of aluminium alloy panel, reinforcement, angle code, coating layer, etc.

3. Difference in performance：

Due to the different characteristics of the process, the performance of AP and ACP is naturally different. Composed of multiple layers, ACP performs much better than AP in many aspects, especially the resistance in corrosion, heat, cold and more.

4. Difference in Applications:

Aluminium composite panel is used in a wider range of applications, such as high rise facades, internal suspended ceilings, buildings or other decorative materials in both construction field and car industry. Aluminium panel is mainly used for all kinds of welding needs, due to its easy welding properties.
